Pakistan Reinsurance Company Limited (PRCL) is a state of the art reinsurer with the distinction of being the only reinsurer operating in Pakistan. PRCL is providing reinsurance support to the local insurance industry in respect of treaty & facultative business as well as managing specialized insurance schemes assigned by the Federal Government of Pakistan.

During the last ten years PRCL has recovered an amount of Rs.262.042 million from Northern Zone based insurance companies including Rs.46.181 million recovered during the year 2007 despite discontinuation of compulsory cession. The Northern Zonal Office have developed better treaty relationships with North Zone based insurance companies in order to increase the premium of PRCL.
